Taras - the answer is... it depends. The heavier weight will last longer and will be better in heavier air. Lighter air performance may not be as good with the heavier fabric. If you sail in predominantly windy conditions, I'd go with the heavier cloth. If you are frequently in light air, go for the lighter cloth. Just my $.02 - I'm sure others will comment with their opinions.
