I can see some people arguing that ablative paints come off when scrubbed so they should not be scrubbed.
That's mindless because the paints are designed to come off - regardless of whether someone is scrubbing them or not - so they'll end up in the water anyway.
Removing growth from a hard bottom finish, like Baltoplate, should not have an environmental impact. What a stupid law.
