Morning all,

I"m contemplating on removing the vbert shelves (The plastic molded shelves that are on the port and starboard sides above the vberth). Has anyone done this? Are there any draw backs. Did you replace them with anything (Hammocks for storage for example)? The ones in Wings are looking their age a bit.

It doesn't seem as though there would be anything structural at issue with removing them. Seems like a small project that could turn large in a hurry if you want to do a nice job of it... I can't find the time to do the stuff that needs doing on Canis Minor, I'm envious.

Not a class boat without them.

The shelves are actually functional when you cruise. I also stored light weight stuff like the boatswains chair/harness and deck cleaning brush there.

Any reason for removing them? They don't take up much space but offer some storage options.
