I am interested in connecting a Silva instrument package with a tiller pilot of some sort. I know that, at least in theory, these things can talk to each other via NMEA. Does anyone have any experience with this? Is it practical? Eric Twelker, Nirelle #463
As long as the tiller pilot takes a NMEA input and the instruments put out the same standard NMEA output they should communicate with each other OK. What kind brand of tiller autopilot are you wanting to use?
