I am curious, what are the slip fees around the world? How much is everyone paying for slips?

At the Coasters Harbor Navy Marina in Newport, RI I pay $76/foot for the season 1 May - 31 October. Floating concrete docks, 30 amp shorepower, water, dock box all included. The rate out in town runs about double that. Definitely a Navy good deal in Newport!

$160 a month in Prieto Marina in Mandeville - includes 30A power, water, and boat box.

At Kip Marina our annual fee's are £3250 ouch.

For a J/30 in Chicago:

$70-$106 / foot depending on the harbor
$50 additional for water and meter reading
$115 (optional) for dock box

Electricity is extra, but it's usually just a couple dollars for me since all I run is a battery charger.

And then on top of all this:

7% Just-because-we-can tax
25% Surcharge if not a Chicago resident

In Portland I was paying $192 for a 32' double, plus $10 to read the power meter plus the power used. About $20 more a month for single slips.

I have the boat in Tacoma for a few months this year and am paying $207 plus $12 plus power used. The $207 includes tax. This is in an out-of-the-way marina near an industrial area, though not a bad marina. They want considerably more ($75 - $150) for the nicer places in Puget Sound.

We leave 'em in the water year around here in the NW.

At RVYC in Vancouver I am currently paying just under $200/month for a 35' slip. The boat is too wide for a 30' slip. That includes electricity. The yacht club rate is considerably less than market prices. To find a similar rate locally I'd have to go across the border to Pt. Roberts.

Here in Melbourne FL I pay $163/month with electricity thrown in ( only a battery charger ). To be fair, I have to include club dues of ~$450 per year. Not like NY at all!

Back in NY I was on a mooring behind my Father's house for $15 a year. I was on the town slip waiting list for 20 years and moved to FL before a slip ever became available

In Stuart, FL I paid $254 for a mooring in the city anchorage until April, when a developer with a backroom deal took over the anchorage and evicted all of the boats. He plans to add docks and slips for the high-end powerboat crowd. The moorings may become available again sometime in the future, but when and at what price is unknown. I am currently anchored in 8-ft of water in Pendarvis Bay in the South Fork of the Saint Lucie River. It is free, but access is complicated. There are no deep water slips (6 ft or more) available in the area. Would anyone like to buy a 1980 J/30?

In Crandon Marina (A Miami-Dade County Municipal Marina) on Key Biscayne, FL I am charged $455.00 / month for a thirty-five foot slip and that includes 30 amp electrical power and fresh water. The piers and fingers are 2002 floating concrete in great shape. Marina security and parking are reasonable (not great). The lighting is very good. The location on Biscayne Bay is the best. As a result of the local market being influenced by some larger local private marinas colluding for some outrageous gouging, Miami-Dade County has increased the rates approximately 20% since 2005.
