J/30 Class Association Forums J/30 Forum The Boat, Sails and Equipment backstay set-up

Scott - what are the specifics on how you transition from the block mounted on the backstay bridal to how you get the line routed to the base of the cockpit? I don't know if I could bypass the padeye blocks mounted on the stern and run the lines directly to blocks on the floor of the cockpit. Concern would be if the center of effort was too offset from the backstay bridal, or if the path of the lines would interfere with the tiller.
