My boat came with both poles. And just to confuse matters the Carib has its own rating system; I found the optimum rating was to cut the longer pole 6 inches so I don't take the penalty. Seems to work out fine with the class legal (bigger)spinnaker, which does not take a penalty point. You also have to figure in the PHRF arbitrary factor...as in the rating on J30s in Key West... it gets even more annoying there. Just make the boat go fast and enjoy.
