I used a chain pipe wrench to remove the cast fitting from the engine and took it to the shop and using a vise was able to remove the zinc. I used the vise to hold the zinc and the chain wrench on the cast piece. You will have to carefully remove the water hoses and the stainless fittings from the cast fitting in order to turn it loose from the engine. Hope this helps The aft fitting is much easier.
